The SEI Wealth Platform has a challenging career opportunity for an entry-level developer. This position requires a foundation of software development knowledge, and the ability to work in an Agile team environment. The candidate should be adaptable and demonstrate the ability to understand financial services business requirements. The candidate should be a strong ‘utility’ type programmer with the ability to switch context quickly and efficiently with project managers, database engineers, technical operations and other platform personnel.This role is part of the Associates Program which is an intensive 12-month curriculum designed for high-achieving students. The program includes pre-orientation events, a week-long orientation program, coaching and mentorship, support and exposure to senior management, and an opportunity to participate in the Innovation Pitch competition. Placement for Associate Program positions is determined through thoughtful conversations throughout the interview process.
What you’ll do:
Develop code based on reading and understanding business and functional requirements following the Agile process
Produce high-quality code to meet all project deadlines and ensuring the functionality matches the requirements
Analyze and resolve issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle; coordinating changes with project team leaders and cross-work team members
Provide technical support to project team members and responding to inquiries regarding errors or questions about programs
Interact with architects, tech leads, other team members and project managers as required to address technical and schedule issues
Suggest and implement process improvements for estimating, development and testing processes
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Science /Information Technology with a Development emphasis or completion of a comparable program
Graduate between December 2021 – June 2022
A minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred
Prior work experience or internship is a plus, preferably within the financial services industry

Location and Travel :
This position will be at our corporate headquarters in Oaks, PA. Some travel may be required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment :
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.
