Position Summary

Maintenance and driving duties. The Maintenance worker is responsible for maintaining all the basic work inside and outside of the building which includes the Corps and the Weingart Youth Center.

Essential Functions

Maintenance:

• Maintain the sidewalks and building exterior clean
• Maintain the owned TSA property exterior of building including windows
• Maintain the offices clean, appropriate lighting; keep building furniture in good shape, clean and taken care of.
• Maintenance of the kitchen, all systems should be regularly secured and in proper working condition.
• Maintenance of the basic plumbing and electricity, all walls and doors, update paint as needed, regularly clean and repair all floors in building and outside guest areas of use.
• Clean all Corps vehicles

Required:

• Assist in any donation service distribution as
• Have in writing all the repairs that have been done
• Have in writing all the repairs that need to be done
• Keep in writing the basic repairs needed in the building
• Keep a log of all the major repairs needed in the building

• By-weekly reports need to be submitted of all recent repairs.

• Submit daily check list into records
• Must remain on job site and maintain continuous work during hours of employment.
• Must be able to work weekends if needed.

Driving:

• Driving will be done to pick up all donations, or orders
• Driving will be done to pick up shipments from DHQ facilities including EDS supplies, food and or other donations not limited to toy pickups at Christmas time.
• Available for other driving tasks assigned by Corps Officers
• Maintain clean and serviceable fleet weekly.
• Keep the emergency equipment up to date in each vehicle
• Maintain record of mileage in each vehicle according to its use, submitting weekly
• Responsible for taking vehicles for their scheduled maintenance (every 5,000 miles)
• Report any damage or repairs needed on vehicles as soon as possible
• Submit all maintenance records as soon as they are received
• Submit all gas receipts as soon as they are received
• And other tasks related to Access Center assigned by Supervisor

Working Conditions

Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb tall heights, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications
